Michael Jordan Finally Finds Buyer for His Chicago Mansion

Nearly Six Years After It Initially Went On the Market

After almost six years on the market, basketball legend Michael Jordan has finally found a buyer for his extravagant Chicago mansion. The property first hit the market in 2012 for a whopping $29 million, but after several price reductions, it finally sold for $14.85 million.

The buyer is reportedly a tech entrepreneur from California. The mansion spans approximately 56,000 square feet and boasts nine bedrooms, 15 bathrooms, a regulation-sized basketball court, a spa, a putting green, and a wine cellar.

Jordan Purchased the Mansion in 1991 for $2.5 Million

Jordan purchased the property in 1991 for $2.5 million, and he has reportedly spent millions more on renovations and upgrades over the years. The mansion is located in the exclusive Highland Park suburb of Chicago, and it offers stunning views of Lake Michigan.

Despite its grandeur, the mansion has been a source of frustration for Jordan. He initially listed it for sale in 2012, hoping to sell it for $29 million. However, the property languished on the market for years, and Jordan was forced to gradually reduce the asking price.

In 2015, Jordan lowered the price to $16.5 million, and in 2017, he dropped it again to $14.9 million. Finally, in 2018, he found a buyer who was willing to pay $14.85 million for the property.
