Game Summary

The Chicago Sky and Indiana Fever battled in a thrilling overtime game on June 6, 2023. The Sky came out on top with an 88-87 victory, thanks in large part to a strong performance from Marina. The Sky's "4-headed monster" was in full effect, with Kahleah Copper, Azurá Stevens, Emma Meesseman, and Diamond DeShields all contributing significantly. Copper led the way with 22 points, while Stevens added 20, Meesseman had 18 and DeShields finished with 16. Marina was the driving force in overtime, scoring 5 of the Sky's 7 points in the extra period. She also had a key steal and assist in the final minute to help seal the win.

The Fever were led by Victoria Vivians, who had a game-high 26 points. Aaliyah Boston added 15 points and 12 rebounds, while Destanni Henderson had 14 points and 5 assists. The Fever led by as many as 10 points in the third quarter, but the Sky chipped away at the lead and eventually tied the game with just over a minute remaining in regulation. Marina hit a jumper with 20 seconds left to give the Sky a 78-76 lead, but Vivians answered with a layup to tie the game and send it to overtime.

In overtime, the Sky took control of the game. Marina scored the first 5 points of the period, and the Sky never trailed again. The Fever had a chance to tie the game with a three-pointer in the final seconds, but the shot was off the mark. The Sky held on to win 88-87, improving their record to 6-3 on the season.
